A woman was killed in a house fire in Traralgon overnight, Patrick Hatch reports.

Police were called to the unit on Chenhall Crescent about 12.15am after fire crews found a woman's body inside.

The death is not being treated as suspicious and the body has not been formally identified, a police spokeswoman said.

In a separate incident, a man received serious burns to his face in Serpentine, in the state's north-west, when he threw petrol into his wood heater.

Ambulance Victoria spokesman John Mullen said the man, aged in his 20s, was trying to get the fire going at the Creek View Road home when it flared back and burnt him.

He was airlifted to Bendigo Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

There are delays of up to five minutes on the Frankston Line after the 7.21 from Frankston was withdrawn from service to to an air conditioner fault.

The left lane of Swan Street in Cremorne is closed for power works inbound from Stanley Street - avoid the area if you can.
