KCR moots Pharma city in Hyderabad

Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao informed a delegation of bulk drug manufacturers that one or a group of pharma cities will come up around Hyderabad over 7,000 to 8,000 acres close to the national highway and a railway track.

If it was one pharma city, it will include industry as well as a residential colony. It will be beyond the expectations of drug manufacturers with five lakh employees and a residential colony with a population of 20 lakh, Mr. Rao said interacting with the manufacturers’ association president Jayanth Tagore and general secretary R.K. Agarwal. Mr. Rao added that a 500 MW power plant will be established adjacent to the pharma city.
