Mangala Sridhar's suspension: Orders reserved

The High Court has reserved the orders in the matter pertaining to Mangala Sridhar's suspension case. While hearing the petition filed by Mangala Sridhar challenging her suspension issued by the Governor, Justice B V Nagarathna, after hearing the final arguments has reserved the orders.

The matter pertains to an order issued by the Governor on May 14 suspending Mangala Sridhar, a KPSC member in alleged irregularities and corruption in the selection of 362 probabtionary candidates in 2011 batch. Mangala Sridhar had questioned this order by stating that the FIR and chargesheet were filed against her without sanction from the competent authority. In the previous hearings, the High Court had issued notice to Governor's secretariat and State Chief Secretary.

When the matter came up for hearing on Tuesday, the bench heard the final arguments and reserved the orders.
