Rawalpindi Police seize vehicle loaded with heavy ammunition and arms near Chakri Interchange.

RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Rawalpindi Police seized a vehicle loaded with huge amount of ammunition and arms near Chakri Interchange on Wednesday, Dunya News reported. Two suspects were taken into custody for interrogation.

The police force stopped a Toyota Corolla near Chakri Interchange and recovered heavy ammunition including 30 pistols, 1 Kalashnikov, 1 night vision telescope, 1 silencer and 48,000 bullets. SP Sardar Ghayas Gull informed Dunya News that the ammunition and arms were being carried from Kohat and nearby areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to different parts of Punjab to be used in terrorist activities.

Two suspects Noor Zaman and Israr hailing from Kohat and Charsadda have been arrested and interrogation is underway. The police have recovered 45 kg chars from the possession of two suspects.

The police have already begun further investigation into the incident.
