LATIN BOUND: Halle Berry will be joining the United Nations World Food Programme on a trip to Nicaragua within the next month. The purpose? To visit schools and farms that have benefited from Michael Kors’ Watch Hunger Stop campaign, which Berry partnered with last year.
Timed with the trip, the actress also just confirmed her continued work with the designer and the WFP, and will front the campaign that promotes Kors’ newest 100 Series watch in rose gold-tone with a world map etched on the dial. Berry said the aim is to “achieve a world without world hunger. Since we first launched the 100 Series watch last spring, we’ve helped WFP deliver more than five million meals to children in need.”
Kors noted, “Halle’s talent and energy are inspiring. Her enormous dedication to Watch Hunger Stop is one of the reasons we’ve reached so many people.”
