COQUITLAM, B.C. -- Photographs from a very candid camera has forced three men to surrender to Mounties in Coquitlam, B.C.

RCMP say the three came forward Monday evening, just hours after their faces were broadcast in clear, concise detail, following an arson fire that destroyed a remote cabin near Pitt Lake, north east of Vancouver.

The pictures were taken by remote cameras posted in the trees around the heritage-style private cabin, that burned to the ground on July 7.

Investigators released the photos to the media on Monday, saying officers had been unable to identify the trio.

Police thank tipsters who deluged the Crime Stoppers phone line and the detachment with calls following release of the photos, while Const. Chris Nordlund says this shows high-quality surveillance cameras are a great investment for property owners.

Nordlund says an investigation is underway and further information about the men won't be released while possible criminal charges are considered.
