NEW DELHI: Delhi Jal Board on Tuesday commissioned the 7.8 million litres per day capacity Qutubgarh underground reservoir and pumping station. The reservoir will benefit 1.35 lakh residents of Qutubgarh, Jat Khore Village, Punjab Khore Village, Katewada Village, Mungeshpur Village, Achandi Village, Harevali Village, Dariyapur Village, Nagal Thakran Village, Bajitpur Village, Bawana and adjoining areas.
DJB has seven water treatment plants, 105 primary UGRs and a large number of secondary UGRs connected through a web of more than 12,000km pipelines. Groundwater from 4,400 tubewells and 10 Ranney wells is also being supplied.
