Two BSP councillors join BJP in Junagadh, all new councillors take pledge in public



Junagadh, 22 July, 2014

Two newly elected Bahujan Samaj Party(BSP) Councillors of Junagadh Municipal Corporation(JMC) today joined BJP in presence of BJP leader Vijay Rupani among others.

With this BJP’s latest strength in JMC is 43 out of total 60 seats( BJP 41 + BSP 2, Congress 16, independent 1).

One of the BSP Councillors Bhupat Shethiya told media persons that when he filed nomination form, he had decided to join BJP if elected. He said BJP is in power in state and in centre too. It is good that Junagadh is also now with BJP.

Newly elected Councillors of BJP including two BSP Councillors who joined BJP took pledge in public in presence of Rupani for honest governance, dedication to development and protection of faith the people of Junagadh put in BJP.

Names of BJP leaders Jitubhai Hirpara, Sanjay Koradia, Nilesh Dhuleshia and Girish Kotecha are in discussion for the post of Mayor among party cadre and public.
