Arrow Season 3 will premiere in October and the recent news about a possible romance between Oliver Queen and Felicity could be a big treat for fans. However, other rumours of Felicity's new love interest may act as a dampener.

According to the recently released synopsis of episode one, CW's superhero series will begin with a romantic date between Oliver and Felicity as the former will try to lead a normal life.

Zap2it suspects that Season 3 will begin with a time jump as the official synopsis of the premiere episode says Captain Lance who has taken charge calls off the Anti-Vigilante Task Force, which obviously needs time.

The website also suspects that Oliver's fake 'I love you' to Felicity in Season 2 had some spark and he may soon be able to express his feelings in the upcoming season.

He'd better hurry because the show has included a new member, Brandon Routh, to play the role of Ray Palmer, a possible love interest for Felicity.

"When you see the premiere and you see how things shake out, you'll come to a very sympathetic understanding of both of their positions," show writer Andrew Kreisberg told TV Guide.

The entry of Ray may come as a breath of fresh air for Felicity who is a fun loving person but got Cupid-struck with the straight and serious Oliver.

"With Brandon, you get somebody who's as tall, square-jawed and handsome as he is [and] he's a really funny comedian. He and Felicity can have that verbal repartee that we haven't typically had on the show. As much as the show is getting darker, it's gotten a lot funnier. It's just such a different energy. He and Felicity are really cute together."

It will be interesting to watch Oliver feel the pinch of losing the love of his life. This might actually act as a trigger to make him more expressive about his feelings for his co-vigilante.

The official synopsis of the premiere episode reads:

"In the aftermath of this victory, Season 3 opens with Arrow now a hero to the citizens of Starling. Crime is down, people feel safer, and Captain Lance even calls off the Anti-Vigilante Task Force. Basking in his success, Oliver believes he can finally have a private life and asks Felicity out on a date. But the second Oliver takes his eye off the ball, a deadly villain reappears in Starling, forcing Oliver to realize that he can never be Oliver Queen -- not as long as the city needs The Arrow."

Arrow Season 3 will premiere on 8 October, 2014 on CW networks.
