Critic’s corner: What’s on TV Tuesday

Mike Windle/Comedy Central

Drunk History 10 p.m., Comedy Central

It has been great fun watching the "Freaks and Geeks" kids go on to have great careers, and it is similarly pleasurable to see Jesse Plemons's career develop since his great work as Landry on "Friday Night Lights." He was in "The Master" and, of course, "Breaking Bad." Now he is working on the Whitey Bulger movie "Black Mass," in which he plays one-time Whitey protégé Kevin Weeks, who exchanged expletives with Bulger in court last year. On Tuesday night, Plemons has a good time playing Edgar Allan Poe (above) in the telling of a story about Poe's literary revenge.

Food Fighters 8 p.m., NBC

Yup, another food show, this one about pitting six amateur chefs against six professionals. The blind taste test by a panel of culinary judges will determine the winner of each challenge. Here's what distinguishes this one: The host is food-world personality Adam Richman, who recently cause a little stir by using very bad words on Instagram against people criticizing his use of a weight-loss hashtag they found offensive. Due to the social media tirade, Travel Channel decided to shelve Richman's new series "Man Finds Food," but NBC is apparently less concerned.

Little Women: LA 10 p.m., Lifetime

After another failed audition, Jo tries for "The Bachelor."

Al Capone : Icon 8 p.m., PBS

Al Capone: "I, Con."

Face Off 9 p.m., Syfy

They make it up as they go along.
