With the approval of China's Central Military Commission, the Air Force of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLAAF) sent an aviation detachment and three Su-30 planes on July 20 to attend the "Aviadarts-2014" international pilot competition to be held in Russia, according to Colonel Shen Jinke, spokesman of the PLA Air Force.

This action facilitates the pragmatic cooperation between the air forces of China and Russia in military training field. The military cooperation between China and Russia is not targeted at any third party.

The "Aviadarts-2014" international pilot competition, which is held by the Russian Air Force, contains such subjects as air navigation skills, air visual reconnaissance, single-plane or two-plane aerobatic flight skills, and air-to-ground attack actual combat, according to Shen Jinke.

The Chinese Air Force will utilize this international competition as a multilateral platform to strengthen exchange of experience with the flight personnel from various participating countries, said Shen Jinke.

The PLA Air Force is a strategic military service, and will go abroad more frequently to learn from the air forces of powerful nations and to enhance its ability to perform diversified military missions in a broader space.
