Don Bosco alumni to ‘Converge’

July 22, 2014 08:19 am | Updated 08:19 am IST - CHENNAI:

This weekend, over 1,000 past students of Don Bosco, Egmore, are expected to congregate in the city, as the Egmore Don Bosco Past Pupil’s Association gears up for one of its biggest alumni meets.

The global reunion, ‘Converge’, which aims at giving ‘something extra special to make Don Bosco Egmore alumni from across the world make the trip back to school’, will pack in everything from a celebrity conclave to a performance by Grammy award-winning percussionist ‘Vikku’ Vinayakram at the finale, among other events.

According to the association, July 26 and 27 will see events such as ‘Celebrity Conclave’ at ITC Grand Chola, where eight past pupils, including Sashi Kumar Menon, Vijay Amritraj and Keshav Murugesh, will talk. ‘School of Rock’ on July 26 will bring on stage musicians such as Jim Sathya, and the car rally on July 27 will send participants hunting the city for clues.
