Tom Budrewicz , Middleton: The Masconomet Regional grad, an incoming freshman at the University of Southern Maine, struck out 12 and yielded only three hits in a 3-1 win for Middleton Legion Post 227 over Danvers.

Justin Cashman , Rowley: The rising senior at Triton Regional High School threw a complete game shutout for the Northeast baseball team in last week’s annual Bay State Games. He struck out seven batters and only gave up two hits in a 1-0 win over Metro.

Soren Hanson , Billerica: Pitching for the Martha’s Vineyards Sharks in a Futures Collegiate Baseball League matchup against Martha’s Vineyard, the rising sophomore at Colby College allowed just one run over seven innings and struck out eight in a 7-1 victory.

Buck McCarthy , Saugus: The rising junior at Bryant University went 3 for 4 with a double, triple, and five RBIs to help the Ocean State Waves of the New England Collegiate Baseball League defeat the Mystic Schooners, 11-4.

Alex Valenti , Lawrence: The rising senior at St. Joseph’s College in Maine pitched six strong innings while only giving up one earned run and striking out six batters to help the North Shore Navigators defeat the Nashua Silver Knights, 7-1, in the NECBL.
