Retired man duped of Rs 3.5 lakh
NAGPUR: A fraudster released on bail was again booked in a fraud case for duping a retired man of Rs 3.50 lakhs. Mahalaxmi Nagar resident Keshav Holey had filed a complaint against Parag Raut, a resident of Narsala Road at Hudkeshwar police station on Sunday.
Police said Raut already has several fraud offences against him. Holey said in his complaint that Raut was currently working with a share market company.
He met Raut through a common friend in January 2014, and he had asked him to invest in the share market.
Holey had Rs 4 lakh in his bank account. Raut influenced him to invest Rs 3.5 lakh in the share market. However, instead of investing in shares, he transferred the amount to his personal account and later resigned from his job. Holey claimed that he had been trying to contact Raut but his cell phone number is not reachable.
Holey reported the matter to police on Tuesday.
