The CMR National PU College recently organised, ‘Akshara 2014’, a literary fest on campus. The fest did well to showcase the talent, knowledge and abilities of the students who have been working towards pulling off an interesting fest for the last few weeks.

The in-house literary fest that aimed at portraying the thinking and cognitive proficiency among youngsters entertained the gathering.

The various teams, represented by the four houses of the college, participated with much enthusiasm and the result was a healthy competition.

Among the many events that were held ‘Potter Mania’ and one-act-plays were a treat to watch.
Other events included ‘4-Pics-one-word’, ‘Word Search’, elocution and quiz.

The main objective of the literary day was to rekindle among the students a keen interest in reading and bring the students back the realm of analysis and exploration.

Sharing his experience, Charan, a second year student and a participant, says,
“The day will go a long way in bringing back the lost habit of reading, writing and dwelling on all the wonders of literature and books.”

Priya, another second-year student says, “The college has done well to ignite in us the curiosity to explore the world of literature. Caught in between studies and extra curricular activities we seem to have no time to sink ourselves into the world of books.”
