Power-packed moments

Power Star’ Puneeth Rajkumar unveiled the poster of his much-awaited release, ‘Power Star’, also starring Tamil actors, Trisha and Prabhu, and directed by K Madesh at Sheraton Bangalore recently.

Tata Docomo has partnered with 14 Reel Entertainment and Kolla Entertainment for the film.

At the launch, Praveen Kolla, the producer of the film, said, “We want the movie to be a success as it is one of the most awaited movies. It was a lot of hard work and we are glad to have Puneeth Rajkumar in the lead role. We are now waiting for the audience’s reaction.”

“Puneeth’s charm and mass appeal will help the audience connect with the film. We expect the movie to do well when it releases,” he added. This is the first Kannada movie to collaborate with a Telugu company (‘14Reels Entertainment’).

The hero, Puneeth Rajkumar, had much to say about the film. Describing the project, he said, “This is my first experience of working with Trisha and Prabhu and it has been a memorable journey. I have a gained a lot from it. The crew was also great to work with.”

“In this era of social networking, one can’t really stop the free flow of music and movies, which is causing a huge loss to the industry. The producers and directors put in a lot of effort and their work is easily stolen through free downloads. One should pay to download services and to acquire original content,” he added.

The actor was excited about the launch and hoped that the movie would be accepted positively by the audience. He said he was happy with the feedback he had received after the launch of the trailer and songs that have now gone viral.

K Madesh, director of the film,  said, “It was exciting to work with an experienced set of actors. The movie connects with and appeals to the youth. It has received a great feedback on social networking sites.”

The event also witnessed the presence of actors like Mandya Ramesh, Om Prakash Rao and Doddana along with the producer and director.
