Private India, a collaboration between James Patterson and Ashwin Sanghi, is the latest book in the popular bestselling ‘Private’ series.
One of India’s bestselling authors, Ashwin Sanghi has joined hands with international writer James Patterson for a crime thriller, India Private. The book, the latest in the globally hit ‘Private’ series, has been published by Cornerstone (a division of Random House, UK).
Sanghi, an entrepreneur by profession, took to writing historical fiction as a hobby.
He hasn’t looked back ever since he self-published his first novel, The Rozabal Line (2007), under the pseudonym, Shawn Haigins. He is also known for titles like Chanakya’s Chant and The Krishna Key. Patterson is the world’s highest-selling author, having sold more than 260 million copies of his books. In recent years, his books have sold more copies than those of Stephen King, John Grisham and Dan Brown combined.
Says Sanghi, “This book is an international thriller with Indian DNA. Both James and I have poured ourselves into it and we hope that it makes for compelling reading.”
Private India combines the suspense and fast-moving plots of Patterson’s writing with the exhaustive research and gripping storylines of Sanghi. One of the most anticipated thrillers of this year, it revolves around a serial killer in Mumbai. The book hit the Indian market first on July 21. It will be followed by the UK (August) and the US (October).
Patterson, one of the world’s biggest selling thriller writers and Sanghi, one of India’s bestselling authors, come together in this book, which combines the trademark suspense and fast-moving plots of Patterson’s writing, complemented with the exhaustive research and gripping plots of Sanghi’s thrillers.
