It was tough going for the young Zig Zag side who travelled to Dubbo with only one substitute.
There were only nine regular premier league players and fill-ins Chris Stapleton, Ash Gant and Katie Dewar to give them 12 players.
All three were brilliant and were a big factor in Zig Zag’s draw.
Zig Zag dominated with Millie Leard scoring in the 16th minute for Ziggies to take a 1-nil lead into the break.
They had the better of the half and could have been a couple more goals up with a bit of luck.
They continued their domination in the second half with a number of short corners, but could not convert their good play.
As was the case the week before when Bathurst Souths scored as the bell sounded to force a tie, Zig Zag let another win slip through their fingers when Dubbo scored with only seconds left on the clock to tie up the scores at 1-all.
The umpires points went to Millie Leard and Keely Hunter who scored two each.
Others to stand out were the consistent Clare Bosman, Amy Dewar and Kate Young.
There will be a general bye this weekend for the women’s NSW Masters tournament and then on Saturday August 2, Zig Zag will be at home to Orange Confederates who are languishing on the bottom of the ladder.
It will be a big chance for Ziggies to cement their position in the top five.
