Letizia is stealing your thrift crown, Kate! Stylish Spanish Queen wears her faithful snakeskin stilettos at royal reception

Known for her sharp sense of style, Queen Letizia made an appearance today in a striking pair of Carolena Herrera snake skin stiletto heels.

The mother-of-three attended a reception for members of the ‘Ruta Quetzal BBVA 2014’ expedition at El Pardo Palace with her husband King Felip.

The shoes made a bold statement and while wearing the same shoes regularly is really rather normal for most women, one might think a Queen would have a new shiny pair for every outing but not this royal lady.

She was seen in the heels, along with a matching clutch, just two weeks ago so it seems she a fan of recycling outfits just like the Duchess of Cambridge.

She also wore a Grecian inspired white linen pencil skirt with bronze piping round the waist and a white round neck chiffon top.

Her hair was swept off her face with a delicate head band with three diamante stars which matched her stud earrings.

She previously wore the snakeskin heels at the Iberdrola Foundation’s presentation of scholarships and research grants in Madrid on the July 4.

Looking as poised as ever on the arm of her husband, Letizia listened attentively to the speeches before the royal couple posed for official photographs.

The Ruta Quetzal BBVa is cultural exchange organisation that plans trips for teenagers to other Spanish speaking countries to expand their education.

And as well as continuing to excel at their packed schedule of royal events, the new Queen, already a hit with the Spanish people, has set social media on fire.

Showing her playful and down-to-earth side, the Queen posed for a selfie with two female teenage fans on Friday evening.

Looking relaxed and dressed down in a yellow T-Shirt Letizia grins at the camera in the shot, which has exploded on Twitter in Spain.

Last week she also attended a summer party for the international school of music of Principe de Asturias Foundation in Oviedo where she listen to young musicians play a variety of instruments.
