For Johnson, Test cricket is the ultimate

Despite T20's popularity Tests remain his top priority.

Sydney: Aussie fast bowler Mitchell Johnson says the explosion of Twenty20 cricket has been good for the game but he hopes the new format doesn't take away the prestige of Test cricket.

While prominent cricketers are lending their voice to the support of cricket to be included in the Olympics through the Twenty20 version, Johnson remains a traditionalist.

The left-arm pacer says although cricket's inclusion in the Olympics would be "pretty cool", Test cricket remains the pinnacle for the sport.

"Test match cricket is the ultimate. You ask all the other guys and they'll say the same thing," Johnson was quoted as saying by the Australian Associated Press.

"Test match cricket is what they want to play. Hopefully it can stay like that and Twenty20 not take over, but I'm pretty confident Test match cricket is staying strong," he added.
