90 fight for honours at ‘Fastrak 14’ in Tiruchi

The bi-annual event aims at promote good driving and navigational skills among the participants.

About 90 participants took part in the ‘Fastrak 14’ Time Speed and Distance car rally organised in the city by the Aura, a women’s forum, on Sunday.

The bi-annual event aims at promote good driving and navigational skills among the participants.

This year’s event, organised in association with The Madras Motor Sports Club, Chennai and Bharat Petroleum, featured four categories – Eve’s on Wheels, Fun Wagon, Bridge Builders and Novice.

While the Eve’s on Wheels was for all-women team and the Fun Wagon team for friends and families had a woman on the wheels or as navigator.

The Bridge Builders team was for companies, institutions or associations and the Novice category constituted participants who were new to rallying.

The rally was be flagged off from the National College grounds by Suresh Krissna, film director.

Participants were given route and time charts and a questionnaire. Cars with least penalty will be adjudged the winners. The results of the event will be declared on Monday.
