HYDERABAD: A Telugu TV channel anchor was arrested on Saturday for misbehaving and abusing a teacher at Begumpet.
The accused has been identified as Mohammed Khayyum alias Lobo, 28, the anchor of a Telugu music channel.
On Friday night, Lobo had an argument with a private school teacher in front of IBP petrol pump in Begumpet after she asked him to remove his bike, which was obstructing the vehicle movement on the road.

"During the argument, Lobo abused the woman using derogatory language and she lodged a complaint against him," Begumpet inspector M Prabhakar Reddy said.
Based on a complaint, Begumpet police registered a case under section 509 (Uttering any word or making any gesture to outrage the modesty of a woman) of the IPC as per the Criminal Law Amendment Act, 2013 (Nirbhaya Act). Lobo was arrested and remanded in judicial custody on Saturday.
