Bua beats Taveuni 3-0 in the final round of 2014 Fiji Sun/Skipper Tuna National Football League premier division match at Ratu Ganilau Park, Savusavu yesterday.
What happened:
The Bua team showed a lot of effort and got the reward accordingly.
Both teams played a defensive match in the first spell. Halftime: Bua 0-0 Taveuni
In the second half, Navnit Singh scored their first goal in the 76th minute.
Divendra Prasad scored the second in the 90th minute while Rupeni Magiti sealed the win in extra time.
Big Play: Magiti played a good game for Bua.
Comments: Bua Football president Divendra Prasad was happy with the win.
“I took up this position two months ago and I’m happy with the win.”
Meanwhile, Savusavu having lost their final game yesterday against Dreketi, still qualified as the Vanua Levu Zone winner.
The northerners will play Viti Levu Zone winner Tailevu/Naitasiri in a home/away game with the first on August 10 at Ratu Ganilau Park, Savusavu.
The winner will play in the Super Premier division next season.
Results: Seaqaqa 0 – 0 Nadogo, Savusavu 0 –1 Dreketi, Savusavu 4-0 Seaqaqa, Bua 0-3 Nadogo, Taveuni 0- 4 Dreketi.
