One way to help keep cool in Japan. The gentle sound distracts you from the oppressive heat. We have a small green metallic bell wind chime hanging on our balcony. I took my granddaughter to a shop a couple of years ago, and she tried several until she chose ours because of its particular sound.

Furin are so cool. I never, ever tire of hearing the tinkling noise they make.
