Suchitra Sen biopic, starring Raima Sen, delayed

We had reported earlier that a biopic on yesteryear diva Suchitra Sen ��� to be directed by Abhijit Chaudhuri ��� was on the anvil. The film, Ei Poth Jodi Na Sesh Hoi, starring Raima Sen as the matinee idol and Jisshu Sengupta as Uttam Kumar, was supposed to hit the floors towards the end of July.But sources say, the project has been postponed.
Confirming the news, the film���s producer, UjjalSinha, said, ���Yes, the film���s been postponed, but it���s surely on track. EiPoth Jodi NaSeshHoi is expected to go on the floors after DurgaPuja. It���s not an easy film to make ��� 75 talking cast in one film isn���t a matter of joke! We���re all doing our homework and tweaking the script before we proceed further.���
Echoing similar thoughts, Abhijit said, ���The film will focus on some of the major incidents in Suchitra Sen���s career, so there���s a lot of research to be done. Also, it���s a period film so it should look flawless. Shooting in Kolkata, acquiring sanctions to work in old heritage buildings requires a lot of time and I���m willing to delay the film rather than compromise on quality.���
Sharing her travel itinerary with us, Raima added,
On her return, Raima will start shooting for Remy Kohli���sUnforgiven, where she plays SimratChadha ��� a criminal lawyer from Delhi. She has been paired opposite ParvinDabas in the film.

Leading lady Raima, meanwhile, is utilizing this delay to the fullest. She���s all set to go on a trip to Europe with sister Riya. The actress said, ���I���m eagerly waiting to work in this film, but I understand that getting so many actors together isn���t easy. So I decided to go holidaying with Riya. Also, it will give me enough time to do some more research on the film.���
Sharing her travel itinerary with us, Raima added,
���Riya was all set to travel on her own, but I decided to join her. It will be our first holiday together without other family members. We will go to Barcelona, Ibiza, Rome and Venice. Then we plan to take the Eurorail to Florence, followed by Greece. We are prepared to shop till we drop as all the big brands there are offering discounts! Also, I���m looking forward to some sisterly bonding. Just hope that we don���t end up fighting!���
