Man thrashed for 'exposing' his 70-year-old wife's 'affair'

A 72-year-old man was thrashed by family and neighbour for allegedly making serious allegations against his 70-year-old wife in Bhestan area of the city.

SURAT: A 72-year-old man was thrashed by family and neighbour for allegedly making serious allegations against his 70-year-old wife in Bhestan area of the city. Following the thrashing the injured man approached police and lodged complaint against his wife, son and other family members.
Vikram Pardhi, resident of Mohmadi Nagar in Bhestan, was at his residence when his septuagenarian wife, Vatsala, son, Guru, daughter-in-law, Mina and neighbour, Vishal, attacked him using sticks.
Due to the attack Pardhi suffered injuries on head and other body parts. He was shifted to a hospital by the family members for treatment.
He informed the hospital authorities about cause of his injuries after which the hospital officials informed police. Registering Pardhi's complaint police arrested the accused for attack. Police investigation revealed that Pardhi used to abuse his wife often over petty issue. During fight he alleged his wife of having affair with Vishal.
Pardhi's wife was upset with the allegations and they entered in heated argument often. Family members warned Pardhi to stop making such allegations and on continuation they thrashed him.
