Youth shot by friend in Allahabad

ALLAHABAD: A 24-year-old youth was allegedly shot by an acquaintance near a restaurant under the Soraon police station on Friday afternoon. The killer, identified as Aman Singh, was later arrested.
The killed youth was identified as Neeraj Singh of Shantipuram. The police recovered two country-made pistols from the body, while another similar gun was recovered from the accused.
According to police, five to six youths with criminal background were having a lunch at a local restaurant near Phaphamau. The scene suddenly went wrong as Aman whipped out his gun and fired at Neeraj leaving him critically wounded.
The locals immediately nabbed Aman and informed Phaphamau police outpost. The cops rushed Neeraj to Beli Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
