7-inch capacitive touch screen tablets with 1GB RAM and 3 GB of storage
DataWind, makers of the original Aakash tablet have tied up to provide unlimited Internet free for one year through a 2G or 3G sim from BSNL, on two budget models -- the UbiSlate 7 Cz (Rs 5,999) takes an internal 2G sim or a 3G sim through a USB dongle. The USB 3G7 (Rs 6,999) has a slot for a 3G sim.
Both models are 7 inch capacitive touch screen tablets, with 1GB RAM and 3 GB of storage, with microSD and Micro USB slots. DataWind has also tied up with UniverCell who will offer the tablets in all their retail outlets in South India. In the North one can buy them online from DataWind or any of the big online e-commerce sites.
