2013’s Best Actor winners unite for Male

Amulya and Prem will be seen pairing up for Male
2013’s Best Actor winners unite for Male
The makers of the upcoming Sandalwood film Male have twice the reason to cheer — both their lead actors, Prem and Amulya, are Best Actor winners at the recently announced Filmfare awards. The film’s producer, R Chandru, is happy that they have paired up for his film. “This year they got awards for two different films, but I hope they win next year for this film,” he says.
The filmmaker, for whose film Charminar Prem won the award, feels that Male will be as stylish as the Telugu film Arya in terms of presentation.
“Though I’ve written the script, I have given the film’s director, Tejas, complete creative freedom and I’m sure Male will be a visual treat,” he says. Prem adds, “Earlier, I was called me Lovely Star due to my loverboy image. But now, I am Stylish Star. I play a character who knows how to live life modestly and enjoy the little joys in life. It’s a simple yet challenging role.” “Amulya,” he adds, “is pleasant and easy to work with. She is like a member of my family.” Amulya too feels the same about Prem. “He’s very jovial and we have hit it off well,” she says. About her role, she adds, “People have seen me as the girl-next-door thus far, but in Male I play a complete tomboy. My fans will be pleasantly surprised.”
