HYDERABAD:

The efforts to pull out the bodies of the three labourers, who were buried alive in Tharparkar while digging a well, remained largely unsuccessful for the third day on Friday.

The bodies of 35-year-old Raichand Bheel, 15-year-old Altaf Bheel and 16-year-old Mansingh Bheel are believed to be buried under 50 to 60 feet of desert sand.

The incident took place on Wednesday morning in the Unaro Bheel village in Nangarparkar.

For the last three days the villagers have been trying to excavate the bodies, but to no avail.

They are working on self-help basis with little assistance from the government.
