Air India, Spice Jet cancel flights to Kabul

The flights were cancelled following a terror attack in Kabul airport

New Delhi: Air India and SpiceJet on Thursday cancelled flights to Kabul following a terror attack near the Afghan capital’s airport by the Taliban.

Government sources said that while no move has been made yet to stop flights of the carriers to Kabul, the Indian carriers have been asked to be careful while operating flights.

Meanwhile, in a serious incident, an Air India Boeing 787 dreamliner aircraft aborted take-off at Osaka international airport in Japan due to suspected miscommunication with the air traffic control there.
