[VIDEO] Cannes Interview: MediaLink's Wenda Harris Millard, Michael Kassan On What's Next For CMOs

Wenda Harris Millard and Michael Kassan have connections in the entertainment, marketing and media worlds rivaled by few. They've been in the industry themselves for decades--Millard having held posts at Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia , DoubleClick and Yahoo , Kassan with former leadership roles at Initiative Media before starting MediaLink in 2003.

At strategic advisory firm MediaLink, they work to strike relationships among others--in the marketing, media and ad-tech spheres. Providing connections, consulting and, increasingly, executive-search services affords them a unique view and understanding of the industry, including the myriad shifts taking place and the implications for CMOs.

I talked with them at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity to learn more about their views of the industry shifts as well as the value of relationships in an increasingly data-driven, transactional business.
