Britain will send six investigators from the British Air Accident Investigation Branch (AAIB) to provide assistance to the probe into the crash of Malaysia Airlines flight MH17, Downing Street announced Friday.
Britain's National Security Adviser chaired a meeting on the MH17 disaster on Friday afternoon. Officials from across the British government, the police and representatives of the agencies attended.
"It is vital that specialist investigators are able to access the crash site as soon as possible to establish the full facts of what happened and to ensure that the victims can be returned to their loved ones as soon as possible," a Downing Street spokesperson said in a statement following the meeting.
"This investigation must be swift, transparent and credible. Six investigators from the UK Air Accident Investigation Branch will arrive in Kiev tomorrow to provide assistance," it added. Endi
