Set of Shashtri Sisters is a 'Dilli ki galli'

Just visit the set of telly show Shastri Sisters, and you’ll find yourself in a typical Dilli ki galli. In order to capture the humdrum of Old Delhi, where the four sisters — Alka, Anushka, Devyani and Peeya — have relocated to, the makers have recreated it in Filmcity, Mumbai.
While the show, which will air on Colors, has been shot extensively in real locations like Lajpat Nagar, Pahar Ganj and Chandni Chowk, the set has been erected for facilitating ongoing shoot.The lane where the Shastri family resides has been given a distinctive look and feel of Dilli with small two-storey houses and tree-lined passageways.

Ishita Ganguly, who plays Anushka, says, “The set is similar to the location where we shot in Delhi. The team has paid attention to even small details like mithai shop, kirana store, paan ki dukaan, beauty parlour, posters of Bollywood films plastered on the walls, rickshawalas moving around, etc.”
