Party Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi made the allegation at a press briefing in Dhaka on Friday.

He said: “Now murders are being committed by police and detective agencies as RAB is now bogged down in controversy over seven murders in Narayanganj.”

Rizvi said police shot dead Jalalpur Union BNP General Secretary SM Biplob at Tala Upazila in Satkhira, after picking him up from his residence, in the guise of ‘shootout’.
A police officer has ‘mercilessly killed’ a scrap-cloth trader after taking him to Mirpur Police Station, he added.
The BNP leader alleged that Mirpur Police Station OC Salahuddin Khan had been torturing his party leaders and activists.
He condemned and protested the ‘murder’ of Biplob.
Rizvi said: “The government is killing opposition leaders and activists to make (the country) opposition-free. The government is considering forced disappearance, murder and abduction the only way to tackle the troubled political situation.”
Lambasting the Awami League-led government, he said: “Bangladesh will turn into a butcher house unless all the pillars of autocracy are knocked down.”
