Five paralegals have filed a suit, claiming full payment of overtime, against law firm Pasricha & Patel.

Jason Barros, the paralegal who filed the suit on behalf of himself and his colleagues, has employed lawyer Mitchell Schley to represent him. Mr Schley said: ‘For the most part, law firms realise it’s not a debatable question so most law firms pay for paralegal overtime.’ Lawyer Patrick Papalla, representing the firm, said that the issue was more nuanced than the paralegals have suggested.
