Here's proof that in the modern age, small is big. Dibakar Bannerji's comedy on a common man's witty stand against the Delhi land mafia is the surprise we all wished for. With no big stars, relatively unheard of a director and a subject that you wouldn't rate on paper as the most exciting, Khosla Ka Ghosla(KKG) manages to impress one and all. A large part of the film's excellence is due to Jaideep Sahni's brilliant script and screenplay. That Sahni and Bannerji had worked together in the advertising business helped them crack one of the best stories we've seen on celluloid. A large part of Khosla Ka Ghosla's impact is due to its characters. And the stand-out ones Kamal Kishore (Anupam Kher) and Khurana (Boman Irani) were born from exhaustive creative exercise undertaken by Dibakar and Jaideep. Khurana was based on all those rich and lesser educated men, who insult all the soft spoken, modest and cultured fathers in India. Reality got a flawless canvas in KKG.

Did You Know?
1. To make Boman Irani (a Parsi) understand the character of a Punjabi property dealer better, the director showed him the real footage (captured on hidden cameras) of how Delhi property dealers behaved.
