NEW DELHI: BJP MLA R P Singh on Thursday served a legal notice to Arvind Kejriwal for defaming his party. In an audio message, the Aam Aadmi Party chief had alleged that BJP is indulging in horse trading to form government in Delhi. Singh has demanded Rs 1 crore as compensation.
"He (Kejriwal) had alleged that we (BJP) are trying to buy the support of MLAs and have offered Rs 20 crores each for it.
These are baseless allegations. He had tweeted that BJP is trying to buy Congress MLAs. Does he have any proof? He can't fool the people of Delhi by making such baseless allegations,'' said Singh, the Rajinder Nagar MLA. Reacting to Singh's legal notice, AAP spokesperson Ashutosh, said: "If political matters are settled through court, it just shows the desperation of BJP."
