Jai takes racing tips from Narain Karthikeyan

The Chettipalayam race track in Coimbatore will see actor Jai competing with some acclaimed racers from across the country for a championship. The actor arrived in Coimbatore a couple of days ago and since then, has been sweating it out on the race track.
Says Jai, ���I finished eighth in the race that was held in Chennai last week and qualified for the Coimbatore round.I will be competing with some of the best in the business here which is why I have been practising really hard for the last few days. The tracks here are quite advanced and less risky and I am gradually getting used to them.���
Giving tips to him was Formula one racer Narain Karthikeyan. ���I got in touch with Narain through one of my film���s producers, Varun Manian. Narain has already told me what to expect on the track. He is extremely warm and has been immensely helpful. He has also said he would come over to the tracks personally to help me out this weekend, if time permits.���
When quizzed if racing had taken priority over films, Jai replies, ���Racing has always been my dream. Even as a kid, I used to enjoy playing racing games on phones and television. Now that I have got an opportunity to prove myself, I do not want to waste it. And they say, once you start racing, there���s no looking back. My film unit too has been extremely co-operative by reworking the dates of my shoot schedules to accommodate the races. I have struggled for 12 years to reach where I am in the film industry and I don���t want to disappoint my filmmakers. But at the same time, I want to do something worthwhile on the racing track as well.���
