Workers from the Companhia Siderurgica Pecem (CSP), a steel mill that is being built in the Pecem area, in the state of Ceara, Brazil, ended this week a strike that took place about a month ago, a union official said.
By ending the strike, workers hope to establish a dialogue with Posco, the company that is responsible for the works at the site.
Local union Sintepav-CE said it is waiting for a “favorable decision” regarding the workers’ requests.
At the time the strike began, about 7,000 employees halted works at Pecem mill, asking for equal pay among same-level workers.
