Woman sentenced in connection with fatal 2011 drunk driving accident

A Bridgewater woman was sentenced on Tuesday to two-and-a-half years in prison after being convicted in a fatal 2011 drunk driving accident in Stoughton, according to Norfolk District Attorney Michael W. Morrissey’s office. Patricia Neville-Colp, 51, was convicted by a jury in Norfolk Superior Court on June 30 of motor vehicle homicide while operating under the influence, two counts of 0perating under the influence causing serious bodily injury, and negligent operation of a motor vehicle. She had crashed into another car while driving on Route 24 in Stoughton, severely injuring a Sharon couple and killing Maureen Ellis, 57, of Easton, Morrissey’s office said. Neville-Colp will serve one year of her sentence with the balance suspended.
