It’s been 15 years since Inner-U came into the fashion scene with its in-house designer wear. Its exclusive collection of saris and dress material embellished with intricate hand and machine embroidery, cut work and block printing draped women of all groups with elegance and style.
To celebrate the milestone, the boutique holds a sale on July 19. “It’s been a great journey. We began as an embroidery and tailoring unit. Then we started getting orders from leading textile shops in the city, especially for designs to be worked on wedding saris. After that we came out with our own designer saris,” says Titty Thomas, who runs the boutique at Kuravankonam.
She adds: “Custom-made clothes have been the highlight of this boutique. In fact, we also help customers choose the fabric that suits them. It has been possible because of the skilled hands at my boutique who’ve been working for me from the beginning. Thanks to them I’ve been able to maintain a steady clientele.”
The anniversary sale showcases a new collection of saris and salwar sets. The highlight is shaded tussar and raw silk saris and dupattas. The saris come in around 50 shades and all of them have designer blouses to go with them.
Inner – U’s signature collection of saris with delicate cut work, captivating block prints, hand and machine embroidery and applique work are available at the sale. Most of the designer saris come as a blend of different materials with matching blouse pieces.
A double shaded tussar sari with an organza pallu, a golden tissue border and mirror work done on the pallu or a super net sari with appliqué work on it are some of the pieces up for grabs at the sale. “Each piece is unique. We have tussar saris with golden weaves and matching striped blouse pieces,” she adds.
Check out the collection of Maheswari, kota, Manipuri kota silk, georgette, chiffon, Kanjeevaram, organza, Chanderi, Gicha tussar, jute and cotton kota saris.
Meanwhile, the boutique has stocked its new collection of plus size readymade tops for women.
