Mentally challenged girl ‘kills self’

A mentally challenged girl allegedly committed suicide by throwing herself  before a moving train in Bhatiya village of Kalyanpur taluka in Devbhoomi Dwarka district on Wednesday.

Chandrika Parmar (20), threw herself before Bhavnagar-Okha passenger train at around 11:30AM and died on the spot, Kalyanpur police said. The incident took place near Dwarkadhish society in Bhatiya village, police further said.

“The victim’s parents said the girl was suffering from some mental illness. They have also produced her medical records.

However, the exact cause of  Parmar’s suicide is a matter of investigation,” Kalyanpur police sub-inspector Keshavlal Joshi said. Kalyanpur police have registered a case of accidental death and started further investigation.
