TDP rebuts Jagan’s remarks on CM

The TDP has condemned YSRC president Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy’s remarks on Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu that the latter had not reacted in a desired manner to the plight of the building collapse victims in Chennai.

Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, TDP official spokesperson Y.V.B. Rajendraprasad said the TDP chief was making baseless allegations and appeared he that was not aware of the fact that Mr. Naidu had called on Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa immediately after the mishap and urged her to help the victims’ families. The Andhra Pradesh government also extended an ex gratia of Rs. 5 lakh to the victims’ families, he said, adding that Mr. Jagan should understand facts before issuing statements.
