The 41st annual celebration of the Sumadhura Kala Niketan and the 19th Telugu comedy playlet competitions will be simultaneously conducted at Tummalapallivari Kshetrayya Kalakshetram here from July 25 to 27, according to outfit’s general secretary Bhaskar Sarma.
Speaking to mediapersons on Wednesday, Mr. Sarma said 32 playlets were received from all over the country. Of this, 24 were selected by the scrutiny committee. The committee has selected nine playets for staging on these three days. Mr. Sarma said the organising committee will felicitate actor and writer Tanikella Bharani with Jandhyala memorial award. Niketan office bearers P.S.N. Murthy, H.V.R.S. Prasad and others were present.
