Smriti Kalra to play the lead in Rajan Shahi’s next

After finalising actor Anuj Sachdeva as the male lead for his next show on Sony Entertainment Television, producer Rajan Shahi has now signed actress Smriti Kalra, last seen in Suvreen Guggal — Topper Of The Year.

The show, we hear, is about a girl’s struggle and how she overcomes them, inspiring those around. Says a source, “Ragini Khanna was approached for the role and she was keen on playing it. However, the decision was changed last minute and Smriti has been signed on.She will help Anuj, who is a sports coach in a school, realise his dreams.” Smriti didn’t revert to our text message.
