Anurag Basu's assistant forays into Marathi films

Director Sacchin Dev who assisted bollywood filmmaker Anurag Basu for ���Barfi!��� is all set to debut as a film director with a Marathi film ���Candle March��� starring Tejaswini Pandit, Manava Naik, Smita Tambe and debutante Sayali Sahasrabuddhe.
Sachin has been an associate director with Anurag on teleserials like ���Koshish Ek Asaha���, ���Mano Ya Na Mano���, ���Saturday Suspense��� and others and has also directed several teleserials for Anurag Basu���s production house in past.Sacchin said, ���After the final draft of the screenplay was ready we narrated it to Anurag. He liked the story and screenplay both."
The film focuses on the issue of rising sexual harassment of women. The film has four protagonists each has a different story and they get interlinked at a point and fight against the sexual harassment. Tejaswini, Manava, Smita and debutante Sayali Sahasrabuddhe play the protagonists in the film. Nilesh Diwekar plays the antagonist in the film. The film being the story of four protagonists linked with each other roughly follows the pattern of Anurag���s ���Life In A Metro���. When asked about the same, Sacchin said, ���It was not a deliberate decision to follow the pattern of ���Life In A Metro���. It was just that the pattern suited our story. Anurag felt that there is always a possibility of missing out on the emotional quotient while making such a film. Therefore we have taken care that there are good holding emotional moments.���
