Resolving problems will take time: PM Nawaz

Nawaz Sharif says that problems cannot be resolved quickly, it will take time.

CHAKWAL (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif while addressing an opening ceremony of road construction scheme in Chakwal on Wednesday, said that it will take time to solve the issues, Dunya News reported.

About Awami Muslim League (AML) Chief Sheikh Rasheed’s claim of resigning following the depreciation of dollar, he said that he has receded from it.

He said that the dollar has depreciated, but Sheikh Rasheed has fallen back on his promise of resignation. The crisis of electricity was far more severe in the past, it has never been taken seriously, and it will take time for the government to overcome the energy shortfall, he asserted. Speaking to the media, he informed that the government is using all means for the progress of the country. Plans have been devised for a railway line from Islamabad to Muzaffrabad and the work for extending the motorway to Karachi has already begun, he affirmed.

Nawaz Sharif said that dollar has depreciated because of the constructive government policies and proceedings. Those who claimed resigning from National Assembly seat are now demanding resignation of the government. The previous governments have not dealt with issues thoughtfully. Electricity crises, terrorism, and law and order situation are among the most important issues at the moment and the government is determined to solve them, he said.

Sheikh Rasheed had repeatedly claimed during the live TV shows that he will resign from his National Assembly seat if government could bring the dollar back to Rs98 mark. Following the major depreciation of dollar against rupee, the PML-N lawmakers have been asking Sheikh Rashid to resign from his National Assembly seat in pursuance of his promise. Later he said that his resignation is the biggest issue for the government and he is not willing to resign till the next National Assembly session steps down.
