Gorakhpur: The vigilance department of North Eastern Railway busted an inter-state fake job racket in Gorakhpur recently and arrested a man. Acting on a complaint lodged by Rajkumar Patwa, Anmol Chowdhry and Rajendra Kumar from Ullas Nagar in Thane district of Maharashtra, the chief vigilance officer of Gorakhpur formed a team to hold investigations.
During initial investigations, it was found that somebody called the three youth for medical examination on July 12.
The team went to railway station with the three youth. In the afternoon, around 2 pm, they went to Allahabad Bank on the University campus. After few minutes, a man came there and started talking to the three youth.
On the indication of three youth, the vigilance team nabbed the man with the help of RPF.
During interrogation, the man gave his name as Krishna Dev Pandey, a resident of Madhavpur Acharya in Sultanpur district. Pandey said that one K K Singh, a resident of Choure Bazaar in Faizabad district sent him to Gorakhpur and gave the name of four people and their mobile numbers.
The fourth person, other than the three youth from Thane, is Ramjeet Kushwaha.
Pandey said that Ramjeet Kushwaha is a railway employee and he was suppose to take Rs 50,000 each from the three youth and deliver it to Ramjeet for recruitment in group D of railways. Krishna Dev Pandey was handed over to Cantt police. Ramjeet Kushwaha is yet to be held.
