Jagan calls on building collapse victims’ families

Leader of the Opposition in Assembly and YSRC president Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy, who is on a two-day visit to the district, called on families bereaved by Chennai building collapse at K. Krishnapuram village in Dattirajeru mandal and Badangi on Tuesday. In the incident, 24 people from Dattirajeru, Badangi, Makkuva, Komarada and Jiyyammavalasa mandals died. Mr. Jaganmohan Reddy reached the house of Pathivada Bangaru Naidu, who was one among the 24 killed in the incident, and consoled them.

A few women at K. Krishnapuram informed him that people from the village go far off places in search of work and return soon after the kharif season begins. Later, he visited the houses of Siripurapu Ramu and Peketi Appala Naidu. Before entering Srikakulam district on Wednesday, Mr. Jagan will visit Makkuva, Koamarada and Jiyyammavalasa mandals to console the victims of building collapse. YSRC leaders P. Sambasiva Raju, K. Srinivasa Rao and others were present.
